Random things in September 2011

This is Dallin's original room.  It is no longer his room, but Polly's.  Now that we only have 3 kids in the house, she felt lonely downstairs and wanted to be a part of the "bubble" as she called it.

This is part of Polly's old room, we didn't think of taking a picture until we had moved most everything out.  She had her walls covered just like this mirror is.

Lillian and DeWitt had to go to EAC for something, and this is how they both drove home.

Lillian turned 15

Her traditional pumpkin pie.

Scott and Polly wanted to give rabbits a try.  Polly is having a lot of fun with them,.

DeWitt too.  They are just so soft.

This must be Charlie

Rebecca turned 41 and is happier than ever.  I was so spoiled the whole day.  Scott gave me this box, and on each side it has one word.  "Random, Reasons, Rebecca, Rocks"  Could there have ever been a greater present?  So inside the box, were slips of construction paper, with memories, and fun things that Scott likes about me.  He is a winner.  I love this gift!

Oh boy DeWitt got his wisdom teeth out.  What an experience this was for me.  I was in the waiting room and all of a sudden I hear very loud yelling.  "Mom I'm done, mom they did so good, mom come here, I'm done and the doctor did so good."  I tried to quiet him down, but he was so wired!  He kept trying to take the pen from the doctor's pocket.  The doctor was getting frustrated, because DeWitt wouldn't stop talking so that he could finish his work on him, and so DeWitt said "Ooooo the Doctor's getting mad" in his sing song voice.  Then DeWitt grabbed the nurses hand and started to pat it and sing, Singing in the Rain.  He kept telling the doctor and nurses how good they did and that he wouldn't even get an infection.  I finally got DeWitt outside, and he wanted to drive.  So here I am fighting DeWitt for the keys, and at the same time trying to force him into the car.  I do try to be gentle, but with him I had to force.  So finally we started to drive and DeWitt is either talking or singing the whole time.  Then he saw someone on the side of the road and he frantically started to wave.  We were coming to the stop sign and DeWitt made two handed pistols and started to shoot at the cars in front of us at the four way stop.  I had to quickly put a stop to that, because I thought we would get pulled over for sure.  (I was also video taping while all this was going on)  So then he discovered that the seat he was in reclined, so back he goes, and he starts pounding on the car and singing.  It's not that far from the office to our house, but boy was it eventful and entertaining.  When we got home, he said that he did not need help, because he was a man.  Scott was in the bathroom, so DeWitt started to pound on the door, and tell his dad that he was home.  When I finally got him in the recliner, he jumped back up and told Scott that they should go and do something.  They said back and forth.  I'm a man, your a man.  Scott was egging DeWitt on in a huge way.  Then he asked me if maybe they gave him too much medicine.  DeWitt was a riot, and I wish that I could give this experience justice, but really no words can.  Just think of DeWitt and then multiply that by 50 and now you know what I was dealing with.  Fun afternoon

Then he fell asleep!

DeWitt's friend Patrick Eady got his teeth out the same day, and so they recovered together.

Scott and his awesome project, 515 W. 15th Street.  They have been framing the apartments.  Scott has been loving it.

Looking out one of the windows.

They put up all of the boards, so now it's ready for the trusses which are to the left of the picture
So, we weren't planning this episode.  The night after DeWitt got his wisdom teeth out, I started to notice swelling and some pain in my upper gum area.  It progressively got worse, so on Saturday I called my dentist, and he told me to take my Mexican penicillin, until Monday, so I did and it helped, but didn't take it away.  So when I went to the dentist, he said that I needed an Apico, and he wouldn't be able to do it, so Scott and I had to go to Tucson to see an Endodonic.  I had an infection above a root canal.  So they had to cut from the outside of my gum, through the bone and into the infected space.  They cleaned it out, and filled it in, stitched me up and sent me on my way.  I was miserable for a couple of days, but I can tell that it was a good thing, I just feel bad about the money we didn't have.  Also our computer, up and died, so there is more of that stinkin money needed.  So anyway the night I got home, Mary was in Mesa having her baby, and mom was with her, and Dad brought me a milkshake.  He called me on his way home from the temple, and asked if I wanted a milkshake and I said "yes" with as much whine as I could muster.  I wanted some attention.  So he brought it, and I loved it.

Here I am with my whiny face.  Can I just say what a great caregiver Scott is.  He is so good with me, and with my emotions, and pains, and all of it,  he should get some kind of reward.  I love that guy.

Who says college isn't fun!!

Here is Scott.  I had to come around on the 15th street side to find him.  I think he thinks this is all fun and games.  He seems like a little boy at a party!

That's my carpenter man!!

This is our GQ boy.  We got him a multipurpose suit.  ie Senior pictures, Frolic, Prom.  He looks great in it, and he had a lot of fun modeling it for us.

LILLIAN IS 15!!

Lillian was born September 3, 1996 at 6:46pm in Safford, AZ.  She is our 4th baby, and she has been a pure delight since this day!

I cannot believe that my Lilly Bug is 15!  Where has time gone?  It's been 15 years of sweet bliss. That's what life with Lillian is.  She is such a joy and such a good girl.  She loves her family so much and she wants to do anything to help them be happy.  Lillian is a giver.  She never does anything without making sure that it effects someone in a positive way.  She loves hanging out with her brothers and sisters, and she loves to laugh at the silly things that they do.  She loves to cook and learn anything to do with homemaking.  She loves to find new recipes and try them out.  She is a crafty queen.  She loves to make head bands, and flowers to enhance the beauty of the hair.  She has a knack for style.  She loves to shop and she loves to take her time doing it.  She loves to look nice.  She loves photography and she is very creative with it.  She even has her own photography blog.  We went to Utah and we all saw the same things, but when I looked at Lillian's pictures I saw our vacation in a whole new way.  Lillian is so funny when she is hot.  She gets very aggravated.  Not mad just aggravated.  Whoever is near her knows to fan her with the nearest plate or paper or anything that will give her some quick air.  Lillian just earned her Young Woman Recognition Award.  She got it when she was 14.  The thing is, is that she loved every value that she worked on, and she really wanted to improve in all of the areas of her life.  She has such a strong, beautiful testimony.  The great thing about Lillian is she lives her testimony.  She loves, loves, loves.  She wants to serve and please, and she enjoys it when she sees that the things she did made someone else happy.  She loves the Lord, and it shows by how she treats others.  She is a freshman this year and LOVES high school.  She is blossoming there.  She loves her classes and she works hard, she knows the value of hard work in school.  She loves Seminary.  She meets her friends at the Seminary building everyday and they eat lunch together.  She has a great group of friends.  Lillian is a pure joy.  We are so blessed to have her as a part of our family.

Lillian likes to follow crafty blogs, and on one she learned how to make cool shirts so she taught everybody how to do it.

One of Lillian's receipe creations, it's a double layer chocolate cake made from scratch!

These girls were watching "Singing In The Rain" and it just happened to start pouring in the desert, so they couldn't help themselves, they had to play.

Lillian bought Corbin from Allison.  She has been saving her money for  a long time and has enough, to buy a used car.  Allison was selling hers, and Lillian has loved it for a long time, so it all worked.  So even though Lillian is only 15 she owns her own car.
Lillian with her Young Woman medallion, and a statuette that we gave her to show her how proud we are of her efforts.
Happy 15th birthday sweet Lillian. your family                                          loves you!!
