Polly Bear is 13!!!!

This is actaully the day before Polly's 13th b-day.  She had a big friend party to mark the event.  It looked like everyone had fun.

Unbelievable, can it really be true that my baby is 13???

Polly is talking with Allison, because she just opened Allison's present, and Allison had called her to wish her a happy birthday.

Polly was so happy that her pony looked like Dallin's pony, Poco

The family party.

The birthday girl!!

Polly is one fantastic girl.  She is so much fun, and fun to be around.  She knows how to make other people feel good about themselves.  She knows how to make people laugh.  She has an amazingly strong testimony of the gospel, and really lives it.  If you ever need a smile, just look for Polly and she will gladly give you one.  Polly we love you and we are so happy that you are apart of our family!!
Happy Brithday

Elder DallinEvans has been transfered again!!! February 21, 2012

Here is Dallin's letter from this week....
I love you peaps:

Thank you dearest family. I love you all so much. It is indescribable the love and support that you provide me, just by knowing you wonderful people are there, and to remember the quality people that you really are.

First let me begin by saying, I´m being transfered... again! Wow how crazy, no. I am going over to cipolete a town right next to Neuquén (it is egual de Safford and Thatcher, right next to each other). I will be with E. Alercon a Chileano that looks like a Peruvian. It is going to be great to have a companion that is excited to work hard. It will be a wonderful change. I am going to leave to go over there in about one hour. So I have to hurry to make it back to our apartment before the other elders do. Elder Hernandez will stay in a trio with the two other Elders of Confulencia Leiva and Zimbleman. They were very ready to get rid of me, but that is ok. Sometimes it turns out that way.

Thank you so much for sharing with me about my little cousin Savannah. I love to hear all that you have told me about her. What a blessing. Tell her that I love her, and know that what she did has the potential to bless her life for the eternities. Wow every week someone has done something awesome. What news I get to hear each week. Lillian keep it up, and remember its ok to lose. The pain is a good thing even though it hurts. Dad the funny man, who is 40 and, "half-retired," I loved the story of your Grandpa and the articles of faith. I had never heard it in such details before. DeWitt is a working man, wow. Mom thank you for being my mom. Argentina has made me realize that out of all the Moms on the earth I would not want another, unless it were you. Polly thank you for sharing your peace of the shire with me. Allison also happy day of love to you as well, thank you. The sisters here for valentines day gave everyone little paper hearts that said lock your hearts on it and a little sugar thing. I honestly forgot until that moment. Thank you for the highlight real Allizión (¿requerde?) and yes I got your letter, letters are great. I want to hear more details about your college life.

We just came from saying good bye to a few people here in Confluencia before I left. It was all very complicated to arange, but it worked out mas o menos in the end. The family Hernandez are so great. We went to go see them last night as the last time that I would see them, but they invited us to a lunch that they made for me, because I was leaving, they also had a few little gifts it was all very nice. We got along really well together, and I am so glade that I had the opportunity to know them, they helped me out a lot; I am just sad that I am going to not be there for their babtism, but I am still going to be in the same district as I was before so I will be able to go see it. Then yesterday we went to go say good-bye to some investigators Daniel and Mirim, who are wonderful. They are progressing so well and are also close to the point of baptizing themselves (baptizarse?). They are so great and have so much interest in what we have to share, that I love sharing what I love with them. Oh another random thing that happened through out the week. I was preposed to by a gypse. The Gitanas (Gypses) sell there daughters, and the daughters are another story. Basically the daughter tryed to get me to buy her, so we left there.

I am so excited to go to work with E. Alercon. We are going to work really hard (a ful, no sé thats what they say).

Love forever Elder Dallin Evans

Allison and her tennis Feburary 2012

Allison and her most AWESOME team....The Red Storm, Dixie State.  They were having a tennis tournament in Glendale, AZ so Scott and I drove down to spend a few days with her and watch her play.  WOW, she is good.  This was Scott's dream come true.  We were talking about when Allison was young we would take her to college matches so that she could see what she could become.  We were always so amazed by the talent we saw, and now......our baby is one of them.  Too cool!

This is the line up to match up parteners.  They were playing Montanna State today.  The first day was played at a near by high school.
This is Allison's adopted grandpa, Arden Palmer.  He is a sports nut and came to all of her EAC matches and now still  tries to come to some of her Dixie matches.  He said that he was planning on going to another on in St. George.  She proof read his life story for him, and he took her to lunch when she graduated from EAC.
It was so much fun to meet Allison "half way" and then to hang out with her, and to see her doing her other life.
Dixie State Tennis Team.
We were able to stay with Grandma and Grandpa Hiatt.  I was so happy to be able to hang out with them, I love them so much and they are such a huge part of who I am.
Scott getting a picture with the grandparents.  We had good a conversation with them.
At Paseo, watching some AWESOME tennis.  It's fun to watch college tennis, because they are more vocal.  They yell for their teammates, they'll even yell across the whole complex to cheer on their team.
The Dixie Girls getting ready to play.
Allison contemplating her next move.
Look dad, she still looks like a "Coyote looking for a square meal."
We followed Allison's team where er they may go.  So I must capture every moment.
Scott getting in some pick up tennis.
I just love his cute self!!
This man he deserves so much, and if it's getting to the courts a little bit early so he can play some tennis then so be it!!  He is a happy man.

The coach, I mean the dadda.  He was one happy guy this weekend.  He loved being around so much tennis!
Thanks Allison

Tennis freshmen show promise for Dixie State

Allison Evans, a sophomore English major from Safford, Ariz., prepares for the season at practice. The team is optimistic about the upcoming season.
The Dixie State College women's tennis team returned this year with many new players, but the coach and players are pleased with their performance in the fall.
The women's tennis team started practice again within the first week of school. There are only a couple of returning players from last year and almost half of the players are freshmen, but head coach Eric Pelton said his team had a good fall season. Last year Dixie finished 4-15 overall.
"Right now from the fall we're ranked ninth in the West Region, which is good because the top five teams in the west region are top 25 in the nation," Pelton said. "So already they've kind of done well, so hopefully from here, we just hope to keep plugging along and see some improvements."
Part of Dixie State College's success last semester was the team was able to go to the fall tournament.
"We actually got a couple of matches in the fall," Pelton said. "We also went to the regional tournament, which was good. It was probably the best showing we've had at the regional. We were able to get a little practice in and get some matches in and let them all see where they're at."
Sarah Hughes, a sophomore general education major from Bountiful, agreed the fall season was a good experience for the team.
"We have a lot of new girls this year, so I think it was good to have that fall preseason to get experience and see how the college world really is," Hughes said.
Allison Long, a junior undecided major from West Jordan, also recognized there are many new players on the team but is impressed with their abilities.
"We have a lot of freshmen on the team once again, but they seem to have a variety of talent, and they seem to be pushing the returning players more," Long said.
Hughes and Long are some of the returning players this year you'll want to keep an eye on. There are also some new players to the team who are showing promise. Allison Evans, junior college school transfer from Eastern Arizona College, is ranked No. 19 in singles coming out of the fall season. Also, freshman Krista Anderson is ranked No. 10 with Hughes in doubles.
Pelton said his team is still developing goals for this semester, but he said he would like his team to finish in the top five of its conference and stay in the top 10. Their first match of the season will begin on Feb. 8 in Arizona, and Long said her team just needs to be confident.
"The main focus that I'm telling the girls is just be confident and not get too nervous because that was a real big factor last year," Long said. "They've been doing really well with the pressure this year, so hopefully we'll come up with more wins.”
