May 25 2012 ONE YEAR!!!!!!!!!!

My Dear Elder Dallin Scott Evans has been serving the Lord one year today, May 25th, 2012.  Amazing, Unbelievable, Crazy.  Most of the time it seems like his time there has flown by.   I know that Dallin is having an incredible time on his mission.  I know that he is changing from a boy to a man.  When I talked to him on mother's day, he sounded older and more mature.   It makes my heart so happy to be witnessing this young man growing in the gospel, and becoming closer to the Lord.  I love Dallin and appreciate his service beyond belief.

CrAzY May 2012

How many times have I written about how much I love my life???  Well not enough, because I need to say it again.  I LOVE MY LIFE!!  I have the most awesome, wonderful, hardworking, loving husband!  I have the most enjoyable, loving, appreciative, cool kids ever.  To top all of that I have a very cool backyard.  Thanks so much Scott for making all of my dreams come true!!!

The end of the year brings lots of fun things to do.  Here we are at Polly's end of the year choir concert.

Grandpa and Grandma keep busy this time of year also, thanks for coming to the concert.

Oh Scott, you are so dang cool!!!  Working on the new apartments with PJ, Fred, Allison and well um me.  I did try harder this go around.  Maybe it's because Allison is home and she is my secret weapon.  HA

There she is my secret weapon.  Oh thank you Allison for coming to my rescue!!  It's hard work, I'm so glad that I'm a girl.

Here you go.  Proof of a hard worker!!!!  BAM

My boy DeWitt, is a working man!!!!  He worked as a substitute for Valley Furniture, during the school year, and he was hoping to get a full time job for the summer.  Well this special day in May is the day that DeWitt became a true and full fledged employee of Valley Furniture.  DeWitt has been a bit disgruntled, because he is looking at his future in the workforce kind of in a bleak perspective.  He says, "for the next 50 years or so I will be working"  Allison said, "well at least you'll have a break on your mission."  Ha he knew that wasn't true, because those two years he will be working harder than he'll ever work.   I'm so proud of DeWitt.  He has been wanting a job and he got it.

"Valley Furniture, you've got the best prices and selection in town!"

The tennis party has become a tradition at our house.  Here Lillian receives her award, from coach Cornelius. When coach Sears was talking about Lillian she started to get teary.

Scott and Allison watching the awards.

Well this is DeWitt's last year, and coach Sears was having a hard time getting through the things that she was saying about DeWitt.  One thing that she said is that, DeWitt could make her scream and laugh all in the same minute.

DeWitt's last concert.  He was making the most of it.  It was so much fun to watch him, it looked like he was just playing.

DeWitt's choir doing West Side Story.

Oh boy.  They started at the kitchen table, but when DeWitt won, Scott said that they needed to try a new area.  So on to the piano bench.  Allison is the Ref.

Gotta try the floor, to see who gets the advantage there.

Allison is in training.  She's not sure where to start!!  Good luck Scott.

You're looking a little more confident Allison,  The haircut actually turned out great!!

Polly wanted to start the summer off with a bang.  "PARTY"

Awe Allison and Jared, just hanging out!!!

Playing some tennis

Allison covering the court all on her own.

Elder Child's and Elder Converse.  They wanted a slushie, but they also wanted to obey the rules.  You go Elders

I guess the word got out, this this is the place for refreshment

DeWitt's High School Graduation 2012

DeWitt's Graduation 2012!!!!

Savannah and Allison waiting for the festivities to begin.

Polly and Lillian

The papa and the mama

DeWitt ready to hand off the flower

Accepting the diploma.  It was so fun to watch DeWitt go through the hugging line of senior teachers, because they all love DeWitt, so they all gave huge hugs.

DeWitt with the family!  We are so proud of him.

Whitney and DeWitt

The proud papa

What a beautiful and great son.

DeWitt with some friends.  Shelby Peck, Lela Herrington, Holly Hanncock

Crazy great aunts.  These girls are so great.  They had money tied to the bottom of the balloons, candy on the bed and cool notes.  DeWitt was so excited to walk into this.

DeWitt was so happy and excited for what his aunties did for him.  It made him feel special.  This was on graduation day.

Handing off the traditional Levi blanket .  He actually had some say in the making of this blanket, but I was glad, then I know that he would love it.  It happened to be the biggest of the 3 so far.

Trying it out.  It looks like it will work.

This is Scott's graduation card to DeWitt.  Scott is so creative and he loves to reminisce, so this is perfect.

Polly saw this super cute idea and wanted to try it out.  It's also yummy.  They are little graduation caps.  Good job Polly.

This is at Baccalaureate

After Baccalaureate Scott was teaching the gospel at the prison.

DeWitt with his good friend Seth.  Seth ate lunch at our house throughout this past year.

This is the slide show during Baccalaureate.

Seth and DeWitt getting ready to leave for the scholarship assembly.

DeWitt got a tuition scholarship from EAC.  Good job DeWitt

The Renaissance assembly.  This is a fun day at school, where all of the seniors wear the same shirt, they walk in together, and everybody yells for them, and they have a fun program, and then they let the seniors leave and then the other classes all change to their new location on the benches.  This is a pretty emotional time.  DeWitt is blurry, but he has a white watch on in the picture.

The other kids from the lower classes are not supposed to come over to say goodbye, but I was motioning to Lillian to sneak over so I could get a picture.  Boy did she ever come, she ran and jumped into DeWitt's arms.  It was super sweet.

DeWitt and his sisters.  The girls who love him most.  Polly couldn't get out of middle school, because she had tests.
