Southern Virginia Welcomes Dallin

Well, here we go again!!  Dropping my children off at the airport is becoming a pretty common occurrence.  It doesn't get easier!!  I bawled like a baby!!  Now that doesn't mean that I'm not happy for my children and the adventures that they are on, but I cannot help missing them and yearning for the little family that used to be.  I also love looking ahead, and being excited for the future!!

He's excited and that really makes me happy!!!

These are the sites that Dallin gets to be surrounded by on a daily basis!!  He sends me pictures and I just cannot handle the beauty!  It looks AWESOME and Amazing!

Dallin said that this is his path to and from school.  Can you imagine walking this on a daily basis!!

This is what Dallin passes on his way to church!  I just feel history oozing from these stones!!

Scott got excited about this trail, he is convinced that Civil War soldiers used this path.  This is the path that Dallin walks daily to school.

Dallin's first package!  He is excited to get some treats!  Pretty nice apartment I would say.

Dallin ran for office of Senator , and he won!!!  Yay Dallin.  He also got a court translating job.  It is really one of his dream jobs, and he gets to drive around and see the beautiful surroundings!

Another package!  He asked for flags of his most beloved places...Arizona and Argentina!

This is a drive to Linchberg for one of his tennis matches.  Wow is that what they call a river??

This is Dallin's back porch!!  That is the railing on the right.  He says that he'll be home for lunch and just head out for a little hike in the forest.  There are actually a couple of deer out there.

Dallin got to go to the Washington DC temple on a Ward Temple day!  Talk about adventure!!  Not sure the girls name.

This is the letter that DeWitt wrote to her from Argentina. 
 He made a pop up with one of his
pass along cards.  The letter got here on her exact birthday.

Dallin taught dad how to make thses yummy Argentine cookies. 
 It's a shortbread cookie, with dulce de leche
in the middle and then coca-nut.  Dad really liked them, so the next time that I made
shortbread cookies dad went and got the other things.

Here we're just showing how Dallin's room has become the wedding room.  
Now that I have a playroom
filled with wedding stuff this is nothing.  

Savannah and Polly were itching to get the fall stuff out and decorated.  Polly likes
to start fall early, because then she feels justified when it's October 10th and she's
asking to put Christmas out!  She is her father's daughter!!

I had to put this one on our blog, because Jared belongs in our family.  The whole Biggs
family gives us such a hard time for drinking out of the jugs, and this little boy just
did it by pure instinct!!  Awesome!!

This is my birthday morning!  The girls woke me up and then climbed into bed with me.
September 8, 2013-43 years old

We had lasagna and Texas sheet cake for my birthday dinner!!  Yum

I was so happy that Allison was able to come home for my birthday.

We love the rain, and whenever it rains we have to play in it!!

Allison was walking around the temple for some 
exercise/beauty and ran into uncle Taz!!  They were
both happy to see each other.

This is about 4:00 in the morning.  
Taylor goes to work super early and Allison went with him,
it looks like shes not quite used to the schedule.  
Taylor sent me this picture.  He already
knows how to make this mama happy!!

Joel and Thomas bought a local restaurant...El Charro.  
Thomas will manage it.  They got this cool car, so everybody
is excited to see it around town.

There is some sort of big rodeo in Oregon and 
Taylor had to buy tickets way early in the year.
He bought 2, little did he know that he 
would be taking his fiance with him.

Oh the Joys of living in a hot climate when your AC dies.  
The AC to the upstairs quit working and so we've had the 
girls sleeping in the Library where it's cooler. 
 It lasted about 4 days until they told dad that they were done.
Then he got it fixed. haha  Redneck!!

Ahhh Lillian's first day on the job at El Charro.  
She turned in an application before Joel and Thomas bought
it, and she had an interview with 
someone other than family.  She likes it, but she feels like
she is in mourning for her social life.  

There has been a lot of rain in New Mexico and Clifton 
so our Gila River is running fuller than normal and
we just had to come and see.  The people back east 
I'm sure would laugh at us thinking that this was
a full river.

Dad has been working really hard on getting things ready for the wedding.  
He built this backdrop.  We're
going to wrap lights around it and do cool things to it, 
but it was he who designed it and built it.
It's perfect.  So now he and Polly are practicing the poses

We ordered this beautiful dress from China 
just as a backup in case Allison didn't find anything.  She found
a beautiful, perfect dress, so now we have two....Hmmm what to do??

I wanted to be involved somehow, so here I am painting vases. 
 I'm sure we won't use them, but it
does make me feel special. :-)

They came in!!!  This is the real deal.  
Now on to address over 300 envelopes!

There she is the working girl!!  She got tired of working every weekend night so 
she told her supervisor
that she could work 2 nights a week and those nights would be 
Tuesday and Thursday!!

Taylor took his brother to the Oregon Coast for a little
 Brother Bonding time before
he gets married.  This is in a glass factory!

Rachel and Mary are so goofy.  They think that if you hide behind someone
during a picture it somehow takes 10 lbs off you!

My dad, (grandpa) had to have a simple surgery.  He had a hernia fixed.  None of us were too worried cause they all said that it would be a simple fix.
