Salt Lake

So here we are in the heart of Salt Lake....Temple Square, and the old Tabernacle.  This is Monday.  May 23, 2011

We were all amazed at the magnificence of this beautiful Temple.

Can I just say....." I love my family"

We found a wondering missionary to take our picture

This was a pretty awesome display.  Fist of all it's an exact replica of the Salt Lake Temple, with the real one just out side of the huge window.  And in the small one you can look inside and see down to the tiniest detail what the temple looks like on the inside.

The Brothers

Yep, the Brothers.....typical

The Sisters....about now is when Scott said...."look Pres. Monson is looking out his window and watching you guys"  We were standing right in front of the Church office building.

The whole gang

Scott would not stand on the bride and groom platform, oh well we got a good picture anyway

Driving up to North Logan

This is Saturday, and we thought if we stopped by the MTC on a non check in day that we might be able to walk around and see things, but no!  They had a new security check point and no one was allowed beyond it, so we stood outside and took pictures.

This is a typical shot of our family.  Everyone watching Lillian taking her amazing pictures.  That one really did turn out beautiful.  You can see the Temple through the pretty pink blossoms.

DeWitt came upon this sign.  It was way too cool to pass up.

When we got to Faun and Ed's house.  Scott's sister and brother in law, in Smith field, just above Logan, she had a spread!  We couldn't believe all of the food that she kept bringing out of her refrigerator.  They were very welcoming to us and treated us like royalty.  We got to spend Saturday evening with them, and all day Sunday.  They are so much fun to be around.

The kids loved UTAH grass.  They all ran around Faun's house with bare feet and were acting like little kids.  They had so  much fun and I loved to watch it.

Here they are playing one of their favorite games.....Ninja destruction.

Everybody with Faun, the morning we left.

DeWitt loves the beauty of Utah, and Faun's backyard was beautiful so we decided to take a picture.

Monday morning we drove into Salt Lake and our first stop was "This is the Place Monument"  We were the first ones there, and we were excited and started to walk around, and then not 5 minutes into it, about 5 bus loads of school kids pulled in.  We thought we had seen enough and left :-).

It is never boring with my family.  Everything is fun, exciting and pretty much like a game.  I told the kids to jump for a picture and Dallin was the only one obeying, and he got pushed at the same time as the jump.  Lucky for him, and Polly he is sure footed and landed on both feet.

Nice that some of us can pose for a serious picture.

Visiting Manti

The beautiful Manti Temple!

This was our first day, it's funny to watch Lillian with a camera

This is where we ate dinner, it was a fun little place, but the best part was the sampling of the ice-cream, we had some laughs that just couldn't be stopped.

The "ice-cream"

As we were driving down the highway, a dear crossed right in front of us, so we stocked it and watched it stop in someones yard and eat the grass.  Way too cool.

Lillian shouting for Joy!

The kids were tired of being in the car and were happy to play!!

Having fun with the Temple right in front of us.  It was a very small, but very comfortable motel, we liked it.

DeWitt, Polly, Lillian, and Allison right before they went into the Manti Temple to do baptisms

Now Dallin is standing with them

Dallin, Scott, and Rebecca just after we came out.  We had a super great experience in the temple, and we even got a tour afterwords.
