A Fun Weekend in Mesa!! July 2011

The Sisterhood.  Rachel, Esther, Mary, and Rebecca.  Just outside of our hotel room.  My dad, grandpa Biggs, turned 70 on July 16, 2011.  So all of the Siblings, except Thomas and Jenn (they live in Mexico), met at a super great resort in Tempe, AZ to have a birthday bash for dad.  It was fun to be together, and I'm sure mom and dad appreciated having everyone around, but not at their house.  Thanks mom and dad for making it all happen.  It was a wonderful time.

Bridger Brown and Allison.  The ground was so very hot and Bridger had to give up his sandals to his mom (that's what he said) so he couldn't walk on the hot ground, so Allison so kindly carried him wherever he needed to go, and Bridger so kindly pushed up Allison's glasses for her when they would slip down her nose.  What a team.

Polly, Harrison and Isabel in the lazy river.

Oh my gosh, I couldn't resist putting this one in.  This is Jeremy, if you couldn't tell, he is wearing his daughter Ellie's goggles.

I wish that I would have had a better shot of mom and dad, but I just wasn't fast enough.

Stephanie, Esther, Erika, Rebecca, Lillian, and Allison in the back.

Tony and Jeremy were having a competition to see who could throw the twins the highest.  Crazy!!

Scott and His Crew July 2011

Scott is starting to build a new set of apartments.  These are on 15th Street.  He doesn't have his full regular crew, so he uses his kids and their friends.  DeWitt has two friends that like to work out in our weight room with him, so Scott talked to them one morning and asked if he could hire them.  He promised that this kind of work would build exceptional muscles.  They all agreed.  Allison is a veteran when it comes to pouring a footer.  So this is Cody Junion, Scott and Allison

DeWitt is in the front, and Patrick Eady, and Allison

Allison would guide the shoot to each wheelbarrow and then the boys would run it off to pour into the designated spot.  The truck didn't fit all around the apartment, because that fence was in the way.

DeWitt is the one with the hat.

My beautiful perfectionist husband, he doesn't miss a beat.

The truck driver gave Allison his glasses, because she kept getting concrete in her eyes.

FYI, we couldn't get these clothes clean, but she had fun getting dirty.

Lillian and Polly were up early as well.  They were making an amazing breakfast for the crew.

Polly, Minnie, and Tina.

The Crew now they get that amazing breakfast.

4th of July 2011

Our Grandma Sherry b-day breakfast and also our 4th of July breakfast!!

We love giving grandma notes and gifts because she always cries, and then we know we were successful!

haheem,  DeWitt was so very bored and looking for a reason to be a menace.  I had just had a phone call, and a person asked if they could come over and use our pool, I said yes amd DeWitt was not happy, so he turned every frame around backward.  I have a lot of shelves in this casa, and some figurines.  DeWitt found EVERY single thing and turned it around., and then he refused to fix it.  I couldn't help but laugh, so he thought it was OK to say NO when I asked him to turn them all around again.  Days later I would see a random frame or something turned around, and know that DeWitt had been there too.  He didn't miss a thing.  This picture of one shelf does not do justice to what this boy did.  Moral of the story is, don't ever let your 17 year old teenager get bored!  Love you DeWitt.

Rocky Point, The End!!!!!!!

DeWitt and Polly making the Ultimate castle.  Polly had made an "ultimate" list of ultimate things to do on this day for all of us to follow.  Ultimate sand castle, ultimate Frisbee, ultimate baseball, etc.

DeWitt is fortifying our castle, by bringing up seaweed.  Lillian drew pictures and wrote words allover the beach, it really was a work of art.

Our ultimate fortified sand castle

Dallin of course wasn't here, because he is at the MTC in Provo, so Lillian made him a part.

Nice work

Our last walk of the resort.  This is the last night of our vacation, so we walked around and just enjoyed ourselves.

I love hanging out with our kids

So weird, we spotted this bird that was sleeping.  We tried to wake it up, but it was looking like Scott when he sleeps, completely out!!

This is a common picture for us, but they recovered this bench so we had to check it out.

The last night we were there, they put on a Mexican show, I was so sad that mom and dad missed it, because it was pretty cool.

Lillian, Polly and I were the only ones that actually went to the "really cool" show.

Shopping at the dirt mall, on our way out of town.

Nice view from the other side of the dirt mall

Scott loves to find his yearly big straw hat at the dirt mall.  It protects him from the sun, for a year, and then we must make another trip to Mexico.

More Rocky Point........

Hanging out by the pool

It was nice to have our room so close to the pool area, it's a nice little walk, but not too far.

Polly loved the animal creations that the maid would make

Lillian and Allison on their way to dinner

Dad and mom invited us to dinner on their last night, we were so excited, because we never eat in the restaurant that is at the resort.  It was a super treat.  We sat at a table with an ocean view, and our waiter guessed that we were Mormon.  It was a super great evening, thanks to mom and dad.

sitting down at dinner

All of the plates came out pretty cool, the picture doesn't do it justice.

On our way back from dinner

I think it's cool to walk around at night, listening to the water, and have the gentle breeze and the salty smell.
