Favorite Vacation Continued>>>>

Photo journal of our vacation.

Our morning commute into the city with Shad

The Mall and the Lincoln Memorial

Shad made sure that we were well informed.  He always felt bad about leaving us.  He felt like a mother hen.
The White house
At the Washington Monument.  We didn't have the time to go to the top.
The whole gang at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial

At the feet of Abraham Lincoln...One of the Greats
Arlington National Cemetary

The Mall looking back at the Capital Building.  Right above Polly's head is the Holecaust Muesuem.  We spent many hours there.
I think that this is the Korean War memorial.
We're back at the Washington Monument.  The kids are really standing upright, but it looks like they are laying down.
This is early in the morning at the Capital Building.
At the Capital
Oh the bushes at the Capital building sure come in handy when......nature calls.  As you can see you don't see Scott or Rebecca in the picture, so you can come to your own conclusion who is in the bush and who is taking the picture.
Love it!!!
Nice face DeWitt
Scott is showing the kids a map, and telling them where we are
Still walking........
We had to experience all of what DC had to offer.
This is after we went to the Holecaust Muesuem, and Scott is continueing with his "propaganda speech"
Inside the Lincoln Theater
Our third day we took a break and spent it at the park close to Esther's house
Fun at the park
Ahhhhh.  I love it
We had fun playing with the Browns
Polly
On our way to Gettysburg.  Bridger....."If you don't pull over right now, I'm going to barf"  We stopped immediatly.  I think all he wanted to do was throw rocks.  It was a good break.
It was windy and cold at Gettysburg
Gettysburg battlefield
From this high tower we could see all of the battlefields.  It was Amazing.
Just a cool picture
At the top of Little Round Top
It's inevitble...Lillian always falls while on vacation,  Scott is consoling her.
This is the coolest resturant.  It had all sorts of Civil War memoriablia, and pictures.
DeWitt never fails to entertain.  This is where Dallin got his Civil War sword.  It was a Confederate sword though.
