WOW! Can't Believe Our Baby Girl is 21

Can it really be 21 years since our first child was born?  Wow what a ride this has been.  When Allison was born, the adventure began.  She was such a good baby.  She was mine and Scott's best friend.  We took her everywhere.  She never had a babysitter, because we couldn't stand to be without her.  My doctor grandpa would laugh at me, because I would never set her down.  He said, "she has got to cry a little bit to stretch her lungs"  Nope I didn't agree, heheh.  She took all of her naps on my chest and if she wasn't in our arms, she was in a backpack on our backs.  She was our little buddy.  Scott spoke only Spanish to her, so she grew up learning two languages.  She was so cute.  She would talk to Scott in Spanish and me in English.  We taught her all sorts of tricks and songs to show people.  She loved to perform, and dance, and sing.  She was a pure joy right from the beginning.  She is now all grown up and off to college.  I look back on the last 21 years and all I feel is happiness and satisfaction.  Not that we as parents did anything out of the ordinary, but that she did.  Allison is so good with people.  She knows how to make people feel happy and good about themselves.  She is positive and witty, and a genuinely happy person.  Just to be around her, makes you a better person.  Through all of her growing up years and even her teen years, she was a good girl, always wanting to do the right thing.  One thing about this girl that stands out, is her testimony.  Her love for the Lord shows, through her very life.  She is such an example of Christ Like Love.  She is genuine and sincere, and such a good example to her brothers and sisters.  She has made parenting, easy, enjoyable, and fun.  She has worked hard on her talents.  She is paying her way through college with her skills on the tennis court.  Wow!!  She plays the piano beautifully, and is very intelligent.  She loves to bake, and hike, and play Just Dance.  She is good at Chess, and Risk, and movie lines.  She loves to read and relax on the beach of Rocky Point.  Scott and I are such proud parents of 5 beautiful children, and Allison has led the way so perfectly.   Happy birthday beautiful girl.

Just a peek at Allison's fun little life.  She loved to participate in the local Children's theater.

We've had a couple of chances to go to Disney Land. I only put a couple of tennis tournament pictures on here to represent her life on the road, but she played multitudes of tournaments through her life.  We have so many family memories of traveling together, and learning about new places, because of tennis.  She and Dallin boxing, and the kids loved it, when Scott flooded the field.

Allison loves to travel, her dream destination is England, but here are a few spots that we've visited.  Gettysburg, PA, Hershey, PA, Rocky Point, and oh, "the hike on Mt. Graham!"

Here are several shots of her Senior photos.
Beautiful girl.

Allison's high school graduation,  with her family that loves her so much.

Allison spent a summer in Maine, being a camp counselor, she went with the assumption that she was a tennis counselor, but she ended up being a 24 hour leader to a bunch of kids from all over the world.  What an experience, I'm sure she'll never forget.

These two boys are some of her favorite campers.  I think they are from Spain.  Allison also won the top counselor award at the end of the summer.  I guess we are not the only ones who think that she's great.

This is one of my favorite pictures!!

At Salt Lake.  One our last photos of all the kids together.

Happy Birthday, you Beautiful girl.  We love you!
I had to put in some of these pictures.  Allison's most AWESOME friends and roommates threw a suprise party for her.  After she got home from doing baptisms at the St. George Temple, and after being sung happy birthday to at the ice cream parlor, she went home and was greeted with a Mexican Fiesta in honor of her multi-national self.  She said that the house was packed with people and they had tons of decorations and a pinata.  Wow!  I'm so happy that she has such amazing friends!!
Her roommates....Kimmery, Fish, Lydia, and Kassi.  Wonderful girls who really take care of eachother.

Allison and some of her guy friends...Mason Smythe *red tie) and Jordan Harris (in the back leaning over) are the only ones that I know.

Allison's big suprise!!  I just love her smile!

Allison with some her guy friends.  All I know is Mason Smythe (hand on face) an Jordan Harris (Sitting in the back)

  1. I hope Allison reads and re-reads this blog over and over. It could do nothing but give her a sense of self worth and being beloved. Alllison, if you read comments, know that you are beloved by us, too. What a wonderful way to start having grandchildren, with a boy and a girl who set such a good pattern for their younger cousins to follow. Besides, that, sweetie, you are one of my (our) best friends. We love you.
