DeWitt is 18!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DeWitt is one cool guy.  It's hard to believe that 18 years have flown by  since that wonderful Christmas season 18 years ago, when DeWitt came into our family.  DeWitt has from the very beginning brought joy to our lives.  He was such a good baby, and then as a toddler he would crack us up.  DeWitt was talking in sentences as soon as he could walk, which was 9 months old.  Dallin was somewhat quieter than DeWitt, and when Dallin would be frustrated that we didn't understand him, DeWitt would explain to us what he was saying.  DeWitt was very aware of his feelings, but wasn't quite sure what words to use to express himself.  So if he were getting angry at us, he would say, "you can't come to my purple cave." or he would say, "bap bap" or " when he would be super angry he would say, "lady like, hugh"  he would say these things with such vigor and vim, and such intense facial expressions.  Not once could we keep a straight face, we would always end up laughing.....hard.  DeWitt keeps us laughing still.  He is amazing at movie lines and voice interpretations.   When he is telling about a movie, I feel like I don't even need to see the movie anymore, because the preview was so good.  DeWitt has always been a good friend.  His best friends are his brother and sisters.  He has always treated them the best.  He makes friends so easily and knows how to make others feel good about themselves.  He is nice to everybody and makes others feel like they are the most important.  Another thing that stands out about DeWitt and is  the most notable, is his testimony and his love for the Lord, and his love for the gospel.    He shows this love by the way he lives his life, and by the way he treats others.  He is a true instrument in the Lord's hands.  DeWitt is a senior at Safford High School, and is the Seminary President.  He was ordained to the Melchizedek Priesthood by his dad.  He was asked to be assistant to the Priest quorum, and was just called to be a Ward Missionary.  He even just placed his 1st Book of Mormon.  DeWitt has truly righteous desires, he has a heart of pure gold!   DeWitt has been a wonderful part of our family, and we are truly grateful for him.  It has been a wonderful, exciting 18 years.  Happy Birthday baby boy.

DeWitt is showing us his eagle project site and doing the first part of the work with his Dada.

DeWitt's eagle project at Discovery Park.

This is DeWitt after his eagle project was done.  He not only worked hard, but he had to keep all of his helpers motivated and working hard, so that the job could be done, and done well.

DeWitt is proud of his truck that once belonged to Dallin, that once belonged to dad.
