July 2012

Ahh, my sexy carpenter man!!!  I am continually impressed with his awesome skills.  This building is
517 W. 15th Street Apartments

Random, at the greatest extent!!!  These crazy girls are waxing.  Ouch, I tried it and it hurts......a lot!!!

Oh goodness now DeWitt's involved!  My kiddos are crazy and funny all at the same time!!

Grandma Sherry's 76th birthday.  We were so happy to be able to celebrate it with her, we love her so much!!

Oh ya, the birthday cake, actually it was frozen ice cream cake that was simply delicious!!

We are truly an adventurous family.  This is how we watched the fireworks this year.

Lillian, Allison, Savannah, Brianna, (Savannah's sister).  This the rodeo for  the 24th of July celebration in Pima.  It rained a little bit, just enough to get our hair damp.

Allison and Polly at the rodeo.  Polly was horrified by the poor greased pig that got chased by the kids and the calf's that got roped.  She wasn't sure that she like rodeos after all.

Scott and his cousin Brad Flake.  He is from Snowflake where the "real" rodeos take place.  This guy is authentic Scott was happy to see a snowflake boy there.  We used to go to Snowflake every year when the kids were younger to take part in their 24th celebration.  They had a Flake reunion and a Flake rodeo and BBQ.  A parade and races and fireworks.  It was all so much fun, it's too bad that we don't get up there like we used to.

Waiting for the parade.  These are Madison's boys, Hayden and Tanner, Lillian, Allison and DeWitt looking on.

The Biggs side of the sitting situation

Further on down the line, Not sure what little Toady is growling at, but he looks to be having fun.

Jared and DeWitt.  DeWitt wanted to help Jared be a little more preppy I guess

Sad picture maybe.  Cute...to be sure!!!  I had to capture it.  Jared did not like the fire truck.

My beautiful girls, enjoying the BBQ

The mama and the papa, this is all still in Pima

Allison and DeWitt.  DeWitt had just tackled Elder Childs because he thought that he ate his BBQ.

Playing with the cousins.  Maya and Jared
Savannah and Polly enjoying the yummy food.

It was nice to see Madison and his boys.

Oh this was a glorious adventure!!  Wanda and I went out playing in their rail.  We got dirty and it was great!  I felt like I was hiking, which I love to do, but my knees didn't hurt and I got to cover a lot of ground!!!

This picture captures my husband perfectly!!!  This is in the middle of the afternoon.  He just works so dang hard!!  I feel bad for him and try to convince him that a power nap is a good idea.  Every so often I succeed, this one was not one of my planned naps, this was an accidental position.

"THE TRUSSES"

This is always an exciting time.  It makes this box transform into an apartment building!!!

There he is.....My Man!!!

The crane was cool to watch, but a bit freaky also.

Polly was the official photographer for this project!!!

The trusses and workers in action!

We got to go to a women's conference at the CFA in Safford.  It was so great, and I'm really glad that we decided to go.

Allison and I with the Awesome Katherine Nelson, she played Emma in the movie Emma, and she stayed with us last time she was here.

Michael McLean was also a guest at the Women's conference.  Wow what a treat, this guy is incredibly talented!!

The evening after the trusses!!!  Scott sure does look happy!

I have to jump in a picture every once in a while.  We just got back from a date, and Scott was showing me around his empire!

Scott the "Old Man", I mean with "Old Man.  Scott has licence plates that have the names of his trucks and this here is "Old Man"  Fat Boy was sold about a month ago and Dummppy was sold about a year ago.  We still have the plates though, so those names can go down in history!!

One of Allison's goals this summer was to bake a pie every other week.  She has been home since May and it's the end of July and here is her first creation.  It was so very delicious too.  They are mixed berry pies.  The crust is homemade.

Our new cousin Henry is here!!!  The very last day of July.  Thomas was in Mexico and Rachel is in the delivery room with Jen, so here I am telling Thomas every detail that was going on with his new baby.

Allison and Henry.  DeWitt was here too and I'm so sad that I don't have a picture with him too, but he was here.

moving on with the construction.

Oh Scott and his funny shirts.  It's one that you can't really tell what it is until you are farther away from it, but it's very clear once you know what it is.  So this is a hand me down from Levi, and it's a picture of "ripped abs"  He didn't know it when he put it on, I didn't even know it, but when his fellow workers saw it, they had to throw a few teases and jabs.  Now we just laugh.
