Dearest ones that I love
I must beginng with the end and end with the beginning. If you will exuse the order I will beginning with the end of the week and work my way to the beginning. Saturday night the zone leaders called and informed me that I would be transfered to San Martin de Los Andes in the Cordillera to be with Elder Perez, a jovencito. This hole transfer Elder Gomez has been telling me that I was going to be transfered. That I should pack my bags ya, but I didn´t believe it. I thought that I was going to stay in Centenario another transfer. I thought this because E. Gomez has one transfer left, and we knew that he wasn´t going to leave, but we weren´t shure about me. I thought that I was going to stay, but it turns out that everytime I think that I get transfered, I think that I am going to have to stop thinking that.
Earlier that day we had a lovely baptism of Mauricio Figuroa the cousin of Martin. It turned out very smooth, we have improved the cordination/organization of the babtisms everytime that we have had one; the members as well have become more acustomed to the rutine of what we need to do. It has become a well organized system. Martin is doing great, and is progressing wonderfully in the gospel. It is something that he really wants. Wow I love it. They are both putting goals for the mission and to invite their families to hear the missionaries. Yesterday I had a ferwell with them and family Leiva. That is what the missionaries do here. I don´t know what they do in the States, because the relationships aren´t as personal with the members and investigators, but here we are told that we are to be transfered we go around to say good bye to everyone, and take pictures... in the begginning I didn´t like to do that, but then I realized I´m never going to see these people again.
Saturday waiting for the babtism to start we went early to clean the font and the church, and to get everything ready for the babtism, and outside on the cement soccer court two kids had put a rope between two light posts and were playing tennis. So I cleaned everything really quick and went outside to play with them as we were waiting for the people to come. It was fun. That was the first time I was able to hit for a long time. I was a little rusty, but it all came back with the muscle memory, as Dad would always say.
Today we have several more people to say good bye to, several noches de hogar (whats it called). Yesterday we had one with the Garcia family. I don´t know if I had told you about them. They are a family from Formosa, of which half are members. We have been working with them so that the half who are members could become active, Anibal the father and zulma the mother could get married, and so that they could be babtised. It was a touching noche de hogar, with another family that we brought who are members, and in the end José my little friend cried and cried. He has13 years, and he had to go over to the corner and just kept crying, and we walked out. We had become good friends him and I. Today we are going to go see the Abuela.
Joe Carpenter por favor. Gracias. Muy bien, right to the point, así me gusta. No Martin and Mauricio are both nephews of Hno. Leiva, a brother here in Centenario. The activity was great. Mas o menos, more or less. It turned out to have a ton of work. Wow it was crazy the amount of work we had to do. I had to do everything, because it was my idea, and I wanted it done a certian way. We did it and it turned out great in the way that I had imagined. The only thing that didn´t turn out so well was the amount of people that came. It was a super windy day, and according to Argentine customs, when there is bad weather they are in the house. In the end people showed up and we actually filled up the chapel. Hna. Seaz helped us out a ton in the project. Wow Josh is already married, how crazy is that. How long ago did he get back from his mission. Last week, or was it two weeks ago (jaja). Just kidding. Henry is a good name. He is going to be a noble little baby, I hope the crown fits his head. Give him many a kiss from the Dallin.
According to the questions of last weeks letter: Is it colder than Safford? Centenario is the same, Puerto Madryn yes much colder, and where I am going now is much much colder nooooo. Does it snow? Centernario no. Where I am going now yes. Do you ever take bus rides during the day time or do you have to always take them at night time? Always at night to sleep on the bus and take advantage of the inutile time of the night, wake up and work right away. How many zones are in your mission? 7-10 algo así. Does your new mission Pres. do things just like Pres. Peterson or does he has he done things differently? Yes for example Pres. Petterson was very strict with the rules, but he didn´t like to send disobedient missionaries home, when he should have weith several that I had know. Pres. Lovell is the nicest sweetest man, but he doesn´t have any problem with sending a missionary home. For example there is an Hna. who is here with Hna. Velez who has had several problems fighting with her companions, and he gave her a second chance, but now with the drama that she has caused she is going home. She has faked sick, not wanted to work... lots of things that is just not worth being in the missionand doing. Almost all of the districts that I have been in have had Hnas. and always the drama comes from the Hnas. No sé porque será así, las hnas... What is the coolest city in your mission according to the majority of the missionaries and why? Barilloche, according to the people of Argentina, not the missionaries. It is the turist city, because there are mountians, skiing, lakes, forests, and CHOCOLET a ful. Do you drink a lot of milk or no milk? I love Argy-milk it tastes more like my lactost milk that I used to have, but here the people don´t drink milk. It is a product of cooking a the most. They are all surprised by the American breakfasts with milk, juice, eggs, pancakes, and food, because they do Mate, and a pice of bread to breakfast.
Now I am going to San Martin de los Andes. It is in the Cordillera, which means mountians, and snow, and forest, equal to pine. Good luck with school. Wow it is already school time, didn´t you peps just finnish, stop going so fast. Dewitt, Allison, let me know how the college life is going to be. I havn´t heard from you in a while. Momma is winning the most diligent writing award.
Hey I love your faces. Love the beloved
Presidente Lovell
Corazoncito Elder Evans
