Family,
Okay this week has been crazy and a lot of stuff has happened. The week that I was still in San Juan we didn't have a lunch for Tuesday my last day so I called up my buddy Pablo who told us to call whenever we didn't have lunch and I told him that I was getting transferred and asked if we could come eat with him. When we showed up he had made a really good chicken asado for us with a lot of other really good food. We ate and talked for a little bit and then we took some pictures and then he gave me this really nice tie of his, and this was a pretty big deal because they are a pretty humble family but he just gave me this really nice tie. Then later we went to Gracielas house and we taught her a short lesson and talked about her reading in the book of Mormon, you know missionary stuff, and then as we were leaving I told her that I was leaving and that I knew the church was true. She then started to cry, it was kind of sad but it was really nice that after such a short time she felt sad that I had to leave. I was able to say goodbye to some more families but I really didn't want to spend much time doing that and all I really did was bear my testimony to them. I figured I am probably not going to see them ever again and so this was my last chance to help them and if they were going to remember me for anything I wanted it to be that I knew the church was true. So we would teach a lesson and as we were preparing to leave I would tell them that I was leaving and that I knew the church was true and knew that they would be blessed if they followed the church. I really liked that because I didn't spend much time and I was able to leave them with my testimony. Then that night I was packing and getting ready for the trip early in the morning I was able to say goodbye and give a few things to my little Peruvian buddy Elder Alcalde. He is a new missionary and I have been with him for his whole first transfer in the mission so he was pretty sad when I left and he began to cry too. I don't know why but I always kind of doubt myself and I thought that I hadn't really made any affect in progreso but it was really touching to see that I, in some small way, made a difference. The mission is such a funny thing, because in reality a single missionary doesn't make a huge difference, the work would go on fine without him, but at the same time its like each individual missionary makes a world of difference!
Wenesday morning I woke up early got all of my bags got in a taxi with Elder Chipman and left for the terminal. I took about a 2 hour bus ride to Mendoza and then about a 3 hour bus ride to San Rafael. When I showed up Elder Gomez my new comp grated me and took me to our apartment. It is a two story but pretty small apartment and it is new to the mission so we don't have hardly anything. haha all of my cloths are hanging up on a rope that I tide to the Ceiling and the floor of the second story/ roof of the first floor is plywood so I always walk really lightly because I feel like I am going to fall through haha but it is clean because it is new so I really like that! The next day we were in the middle of our studies when we got a call from a lady in the steak she told us "my dad (the bishop of another ward) just got in a car accident and he needs A positive blood and fast." So me and my comp were like trying to figure everything out really quick then we jumped into a taxi and drove down to the hospital. I was freaking out because I had no idea if Argentina had clean hospitals our if any of their stuff was up to par and then we pulled up and it looked like the Court house in Safford, supper old and out of date. It had an elevator with a door that you have to close manually and it was like slipping half way through the ride up and then they had us fill out a questionnaire and sign a paper and I was just freaking out. And then they sat me down in this chair and shoved a needle in my arm hahaha and I was like well okay I guess it is already happening the real reason in freaking out now. If I'm going to get a virus I cant do anything now haha but It was clean and I'm pretty sure everything will be okay. But the family isn't members and they have been really apposed to the church but now they are really really grateful and a lot more open to the church. Then these last few days it has been snowing here and been rainy and cold but I've been keeping warm with all my coats and stuff. I will tell you more about the area and all the amazing people in my area next week! I love you all so much and hope all is well!

Presidente Avila,
Elder Evans
