Safford’s Polly Evans gets up high to smack the ball back to Katrina Gudgen on her way to an individual win 6-1, 6-2.

Safford’s Kellie Marie Smith defeated Katie Brym, 8-4, Polly Evans beat Chelsey Bennyhill, 8-4, and Jessica Zimmerman beat Rean Trujillo, 7-3.

In doubles, Safford’s sister team of Lillian and Polly Evans won, 8-3, Williams and Hackett teamed to win, 8-6, and Smith and Zimmerman won, 8-5.

“Watch the Evans girls this year,” Sears said. “The sister team will be fun to watch this year.”
