This has been an eventful week, well at least starting on Thursday. The Jones were here from Utah, and we were going to have a BBQ with them on Thursday, I usually go and exercise early but I wanted to prep the party a little first so I went running to the trail about 11;00. As I left 8th Avenue, onto the trail and crossed the canal bridge, and just started the straight away, I saw 3 dogs coming at me from the desert. 2 were mean looking bulldog/mix breads, and one looked like a fat chihuahua. They were growling and stocking me and showing they're teeth. I was able to pick up one rock and throw it at one dog. It slowed the one, but then the other really started advancing and I was being pushed closer to the canal. They both were now advancing and I was trying to kick them and fling my arms, but by this time I was right on the edge and I fell. It all felt like slow motion. I fell on my hand and I immediately knew that it was damaged. I rolled the rest of the way and skidded to a stop. I couldn't see my phone but I could hear the music, so I grabbed it, called dad and told him to pick me up immediately! I was worried that the dogs would follow me down but they didn't because the owner was now coming out of the desert bushes and she put them back on the leash. I was having a hard time climbing out since I didn't have two hands. By the time I was up on top the owner was coming towards me with the dogs now leashed but pulling hard to try to get back at me! I was screaming/screaming for her to back away, and I think that she kept asking me what happened, but I was in shock and a little out of my mind freaked out cause the dogs were still trying to get at me. I finally just started walking back to the trail head holding my now misshapen wrist. I couldn't stop crying! I turned down 8th ave toward our house and a truck pulls up along side of me, and I thought, oh good, a Good Samaritan , no it was that lady, who I'm sure was really trying to help me, but she had her dogs in the back of the truck, and they were barking at me and clawing the truck! Again, and I hope no one saw, but I started to back up and yell at the top oft lungs for her to get away from me!!! She finally drove off and dad was there to take care of me!! He took me straight to the doctors office, then to X-ray. When we got back to the doctors office, they said, " well it's broken and Dr. Bryce is waiting for you in surgery." We went back to the hospital, and they hooked me up. They told me that they were going to give me, "Michael's milk" or "Jackson Juice!" It will make me sleep through all of the bone resetting. I kept telling the Dr not to touch my hand until I was asleep and he just nodded his head and smiled! Last I remember I was telling him that it wasn't working. As I was waking up I guess I was saying things like, "you guys are so nice," and "don't you think that my husband is so cute?" Haha. When I got home I made a police report, since the dogs were not on a leash. I could only give them description of the lady, the dogs and the truck, so we'll see if we can find them.
Sorry for the drama, but now that it's over I can talk about without crying.
