Only 4 missionaries in the entire MTC?? WHAAT?
Yep, that's the truth! haha i don't think that has ever happened in the history of all mtcs. all the Filipinos and all the other missionaries left to their missions, so there were only 2 districts left in the mtc until Friday when the new in take ( batch) of missionaries come in. the senior batch is 8 elders and my district is only 4 missionaries; 1 elder and 3 sisters, me and my 2 kasamas :) it felt sooo lonely! so technically there are 12 missionaries total in the mtc right now but the 8 other elders were tracking

wow what a week!! it went by so fast! I am
loving the MTC! again, all we eat is rice rice rice haha but its a lot of fun. Filipinos but ketchup on everything, and only use spoons!
I am trying to figure out a way to organize
this email but I'm not sure how so ill just jump around with the details :)
me and my 3 kasamas are STL - sister training
leaders! yay! :) its not a big responsibility because now that the other missionaries left, we are the only 3 sisters in the mtc but more are coming tomorrow ( Friday)
On Tuesday we had time to take pictures
with all the departing missionaries, and oh my goodness! I can get use to it
here haha i feel like a celebrity being the only white sister here! I think I
took more then 100 pictures with sooooo many Filipinos! one of the elders gave
me a folded heart made from a 100 peso bill, but before he gave it to me he
asked for 1.00 in exchange haha so i basically payed for his love ;P haha it
was so funny! but Filipinos are soooo giving! I've been given so many things
already! I even got some "stretchy pants" but they are so short on me
because the Filipino girl was so tiny!
So sacrament meetings are awesome! all the Language training missionaries meet together( 25 M. before they all left) and all the Filipinos meet together! anyway, I was asked to give a talk on the
Blessings of the Resurrection half way right before they passed the sacrament, i
guess i should get used to surprise talks for when i am out in the filed haha
but I felt like I did good. I love how the assignment was "blessings"
of the Resurrection! It is so true, we are so blessed because of that!
we have 2 new "investigators"
(pretend) it is such a powerful experience to teach them! it is hard because of the language barrier but wow the spirit is definitely teaching these people!
the spirit is so vital! without the spirit, missionary work wouldn't be
possible!
Thanksgiving!!! yay! I hope you all had an
amazing thanks giving! it was weird cause i didn't even remember it was thanksgiving until later that day! for gym I wore my USA shirt and carried
around my little american flag haha all the Samoans, Australians and Filipinos were so confused! haha but It was special for me! we also got to watch the Provo mtc thanksgiving devotional, wow it was sooo awesome! :)
today we got to go the the Manila
temple! wow it is soooooo pretty! it is also really tiny! all the missionaries
in the mtc went to a session....hahah there are only 12 of us so it was
possible! I am so grateful for temples were we can be sealed with our familes
for all time and eternity! I Love thinking of my family and the families I will
be able to teach here in the philippines
in the temple!
The Filipinos loooove Christmas. they celebrate it starting in September and through all the BER months Sept. Nov.Dec! I miss seeing the decorations at home but its fun to experience different cultures of Christmas! :)
The language is going good, I just want to
respond in Spanish to everything which is funny because I don't even really speak Spanish! haha
I love missionary work!! I thank heavenly
father everyday for allowing me this opportunity to dedicate my whole self to
his work and inviting others to come unto Christ! I have learned the incredible
power of prayer!! I invite each of you to pray to our Heavenly father in all
that you do, he will strengthen you and bless you. He is waiting to pour out his blessings and love. He is our father and wants to hear from his children :)
There is great power in the spirit. I have also learned without the spirit and
without love missionary work is not possible. Pray for the companionship of the
spirit as well :)
Oh! on Wednesday we were able to go tracking at
the temple and try and talk to people in Tagalog....haha it was there that I realized I knew no Tagalog! but I know it will come :)
I love this work! I am happy and healthy! I am
so grateful for the incredible support and love that I feel from all my family
and freinds! thank you for all the prayers, you are all in my every
prayer!
Have an amazing week knowing that Sister Evans LOVES YOU!
With all my Love,
Sister Evans 12/3/15
oh and happy December! its hard to remember it
is almost Christmas because it is so hot and humid here haha!
LOVE LOVE
